About MACWOF

Maria Antonio Children and Women Foundation (MACWOF9 was started in 1999, by Dr. Deogratias Ssonko; to Improve on the health and education of Rural and Slum Children and Women In Uganda.

Macwof is a Chrristian Voluntary Foundation based in the Republic of Uganda that has so far been established in four districts with the help of a number of devoted members.

The Beginnigs were difficult but with Team Work and a few donations we have managed to build up the Foundation up to its present status, now with a Website.

We now operate in three districts in Uganda, namely Rakai, Masaka and Wakiso.

A Dignified Living for Rural and Slum Children and Women in Uganda.

We Want to Empower Rural and Slum Children and Women through Health, Education, Farming and Social Development.

Health :
Proper Use of Informal (Cultural-Bio) and formal methods and medicines (Herbs)

Education :
Formal Education and Vocational Skills

Farming :
Animal husbandry (Cattle, Goats, Pigs, Fish and Chicken) and Farm Gardens for Cereals and Fruits

Economy :
Savings in Genral, Revolving Fund and Micro-Finance Credit Loans
